From the School Nurse

When the weather turns chilly and children start wearing hats, it’s a good time to check your child’s head for possible head lice. Head lice are usually spread by direct contact with a person who has lice, but can also be spread by sharing personal items such as hats, hair brushes, hair ribbons, etc.  Please remind your child never to share these items. Doing regular hair inspections at home are also recommended as they promote early detection of head lice and treatment can be started.

Please notify the school nurse if you discover your child has head lice, so the nurse can give complete treatment information and instructions.
