Homecoming week starts Monday September 29th at Monroe High School.
All week at school the students will have themed spirit days.
Monday - Character Day
Tuesday - Twin Day
Wednesday - Favorite Team Day
Thursday - Throwback Thursday
Friday - Ultimate Blue and Gold Day
Wednesday evening the Powder Puff football games begin at 5:15 pm. The girls participating need to check in by 5 pm in the stadium.
Thursday evening includes the homecoming parade starting at Kroger and ending at the Monroe City Park for the bonfire. Lineup for the parade at 6:00 pm at Kroger and the start of the parade is 6:30 pm. The bonfire begins at approximately 7:00 pm on field #6 near the back of the Park. The bonfire will end approximately 7:45 pm. Concessions will be available from the band boosters at the bonfire. With the new parade route please plan ahead to ensure that you have a ride from the park at the end of the bonfire.
Friday the school day culminates with a pep rally and the home football game featuring the Hornets hosting the Eaton Eagles. Game begins at 7:00 pm. At halftime the Homecoming court will be introduced and then King and Queen will be crowned.
Saturday the homecoming dance begins at 8:00 pm in the Monroe Jr/Sr High School Gymnasium and finishes at 11 pm.
