Monroe Primary Preschool Philosophy
Monroe Primary Preschool provides a nurturing environment which stimulates the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children. It promotes, a safe, caring, stimulating environment, where learning flourishes as children have time and opportunity to explore and investigate their world creatively.
We recognize that children are unique individuals who enter the world ready to learn. Our program values differences in children, building upon community diversity to foster their growth in learning through their knowledge, experiences and interests.
We honor the development of the whole child. Our program recognizes the social nature of learning, the importance of interactions, cooperation and collaboration. Teachers and families consult and collaborate to create a climate of respect, success and joy necessary for life-long learning.
We recognizes the essential role that language plays in mediating thought, communication and growth. A language rich environment encourages creative exploration with a balance of child initiated, teacher facilitated and age appropriate activities to develop language communication skills.
