Cinema on the Sidelines 2023

Monroe Junior High School will again host a movie night on the practice field in front of Hornet Stadium showing "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023. The showing will begin shortly after 8:00 p.m. — please plan to arrive between 7:45 and 8:00 p.m. The theme will be “Neon Glow.”

This event is for all to attend, no matter what school your student(s) are enrolled in. All families in the community are invited to join us for this great event!

Included with Ticket Purchase

With the cost of admission, each family in attendance will receive a bag of popcorn. Each attendee will also receive a glow stick that can be worn throughout the evening as part of our "Neon Glow" theme. Please feel free to bring your own neon/highlighter apparel or accessories as well.

• Please plan to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.
• Concession items will be available for purchase.
• TiKiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream will be joining us as well.
• Coolers are permitted (non-alcoholic beverages only).
• Attendees are permitted to bring food, snacks and other items to enhance your movie experience.
• Restroom facilities will be available near Hornet Stadium.

Inclement Weather Plans

There is no make-up date. If the weather is not favorable for our event, it will be moved indoors.
