Career & College Planning
Every year, the high school counselors at Monroe meet with students in each grade level to work with students on career and college planning. During these meetings, students login to their Naviance account (see Naviance tab) to take career and personality assessments which allow students to explore careers which meet their interests. Students also begin using Naviance to explore colleges. There are a wide variety of tools and search features in Naviance which allow students to extensively explore and create plans for their future. Have your son or daughter login to Naviance with you to show you the many features of the program!

This website helps students create a plan to prepare them for college. There is also a 'Parent Action Plan' tool that gives useful steps parents can take each year in high school to help their son or daughter prepare for college.
