After the events that recently transpired at Madison High School, Mrs. Frye’s junior English classes were challenged to the "Happiness Project". The project required them to go out of their way to do something kind for others. It turned into a school-wide, student-led, Anti-Violence Assembly that consisted of the students participating in an assembly with guest speakers, Monroe Police Chief Bob Buchanan, and our own Mr. Dwayne Terry. The students recited a pledge promising to love and promote peace in our school and then made a silent lap around the track to honor the victims of school violence in America.
The students did a great job preparing for this event. Well done Hornets!
