Dustin Warmoth Bowls Perfect Game

On Thursday, January 11, Monroe High School sophomore Dustin Warmoth bowled his name into the records books as he bowled a perfect 300 game as the Hornets defeated Valley View at Eastern Lanes.

When asked what was going through his mind as he closed in on a perfect game, Dustin shared "I was in my zone, so I actually didn’t think about it until my 10th ball. I knew I had to get the next 2 strikes to get the record. I’ve been in that position twice before, but this would be the first time it would count, so I was rather nervous. "

Dustin had previously bowled a 289 and a 299  and also shared, "now it feels that my last 10 years of bowling has paid off. It feels amazing that I have a record that can’t be beaten only tied."
Additionally, Dustin's perfect game earned him a spot on the Ohio High School Bowling State Honor Roll for the 2017-18 season. To qualify, male bowlers must score a 290 or better and female bowlers must score a 270 or better.  Dustin became the 5th Ohio Bowler to achieve a perfect game this season!
