Monroe Board of Education Decides Location For Proposed New School Building

At the conclusion of the November 27, 2017, Special Board of Education meeting, the Board voted unanimously to use the 29 acres that the District owns between Macready Avenue and Elm Street for the potential construction of a new school building.

Grade level configuration has not been determined at this time.  Once the District receives the enrollment projection from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, the Board will then determine what grade levels will be housed in the proposed new building.  We anticipate receiving that projection in late January.

Below is a link to the facilities presentation that was given at the meeting.

The Board would like to thank the community for their continued support of our public schools and welcomes ongoing communications relative to this process.
