All sophomores will be taking the Ohio Graduation Tests (5 parts) for the first time in March. The passage of these tests is a requirement for a high school diploma in the State of Ohio.
In order to provide the best testing environment for ALL 10th grade students and those 11th & 12th grade students who need to pass the Ohio Graduation Tests, Monroe High School will be operating with a “late arrival” class schedule during the week of March 11 thru 15. Students taking the test will come to school during normal school hours, 7:40– 2:45. The testing time will be from 7:40 to 9:55. Students who are not taking the tests (all 9th grade students and those 11th & 12th graders who have previously passed the tests) will be expected to arrive in homeroom by 10:05am with the day ending at 2:45. For the 9th, 11th & 12th grade students who need transportation for the late arrival, a second morning bus run will be made. Bus drivers will communicate the special pick-up times with those students the week prior to the late arrival days.
