Congratulations, Monroe Elementary School!
State school board member, Charlotte McGuire, presented the Momentum Award, to Principal Nancy Stratton and teachers at the December 18th school board meeting. This is the second consecutive year that Monroe Elementary School has received the award. It is presented by the State Board of Education to those schools in the State who exceed expectations in student growth for the year. Schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the State report card. The school or district must have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities.
