Summer Programs

The Eleanor Roosevelt Girls' Leadership Worldwide 2017

Now in its 19th year, Girls' Leadership Worldwide (GLW) is one of the most distinguished leadership development programs for teen girls. It is an interactive, very diverse, transformational summer program for young women, that unlocks their potential to become great leaders in their communities and beyond.

Participants learn the skills and mindset necessary to become principled, socially conscious leaders and continue the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt.

Wilmington College's A.C.C.E.S.S. 2017 Summer Program

Wilmington College is offering a four day/three night program which allows current high school sophomores and juniors the opportunity to not only gain college preparatory skills, also immerse themselves in a real college experience.

Xavier University's  High School Junior Program

Xavier University offers a summer program designed for local students who may be on a budget.  The High School Junior Program provides students the opportunity to select one of our freshman level classes and attend class along with other college students, except the HS Junior pays a discounted tuition rate—$80 per credit hour. Same academic instruction, lower tuition rate! Students can earn college credit that can be applied to Xavier or any other college.

The application process is open with a soft deadline of March 27, 2017.  I have included a link to the website, where the application and the brochure describes the program. Here is a link to the website which provides additional information: http://www.xavier.edu/summer/high-school-programs/Summer-Junior-Program.cfm

Lindner Summer Institutes

This is the third summer that the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, University of Cincinnati  will host a select group of rising high school juniors and seniors for the  Lindner Summer Institutes.

Each institute is a week-long program on the University of Cincinnati campus that will provide a unique opportunity for students to learn from and network with leaders who are making a difference in their communities and industries. Students will stay on campus for the week, hear from expert speakers, as well as go on company visits with leading Fortune 500 companies. Last year’s sponsors included  Fifth Third Bank, EY, and Cintas.

This is an awesome opportunity for women and minority students to learn more about business and leadership. Space is limited and we expect the Institute to fill up fast. We encourage interested candidates to apply by the priority deadline of April 21st, 2017. Each camp is $500 per student, and a limited number of scholarships are available based on financial need.
