The role of the Professional School Counselor is to serve all students by attending to their academic, career, and personal/social development. School counselors design and deliver comprehensive school counseling programs (CSCP) to guide counselors in promoting student achievement. The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model provides a framework for counselors to create a CSCP.
