Naviance is a career and college planning platform that students, families, and staff can access online 24/7.

Beginning in 2015-16, Naviance was introduced to all students in Monroe Jr/Sr High School. Students logged in and took career assessments through this online program. Students will continue to use this program each year, as they plan for their future career/college goals. They will utilize Naviance in their classrooms and are encouraged to use it at home as well. Parents will also be receiving login information that will enable them to check their son or daughter's Naviance accounts, career assessments, and more at home. Parents are highly encouraged to review the information on Naviance with their son or daughter at home.

Students at Monroe take specific career and personality assessments based on grade level:

  • 7th Grade - Learning Style
  • 8th Grade - Mi Advantage
  • 9th Grade - Strengths Explorer & Career Cluster Profiler
  • 10th Grade - Do What You Are & Mi Advantage
  • 11th Grade - Career Interest Profiler
  • 12th Grade - Game Plan Survey & Supermatch College Search

Seniors in particular use Naviance extensively for college planning, in order to: explore colleges online, request transcripts to be sent to colleges, and to request letters of recommendation from staff members to be sent to colleges. When seniors login to Naviance, more detailed instructions on how to request transcripts and letters of recommendation are listed on the home/welcome page.
